Nicholas Sparks is one of the best authors of romance novels of our time, he has published sixteen novels, and six have already been adapted to film with “The Lucky One” is currently in production at Warner Bros. so it is no surprise that Hollywood creates movies out of his books.
Actor Zac Efron is slated to play the lead role, while Denise Di Novi, producer who has brought three other Nicholas Sparks novels to the big screen (A Walk to Remember, Nights in Rodanthe and Message in a Bottle) is on board to produce the movie “The Lucky One”. The movie follows the story of a U.S. Marine “Logan Thibault” who finds a picture of an un-known woman while jogging in the desert of Iraq; he soon discovers it brings him luck. 
After escaping many dangerous and near death experiences in Iraq he returns home to Colorado with a mission to find the woman in the picture. With very few clues in the picture, he walks from Colorado to North Carolina with nothing except his bag, his dog and the determination to meet this woman face to face.

This story takes you on a slow journey through the affairs involving friendships, family and the various degrees of love one experience in each relationship. Like all NS stories his characters are thoroughly enjoyable and well defined here.
This movie will likely to be released in the fall of 2012. The movie is scheduled for release on April 20, 2012.(updated)
