Universal Pictures and Illumination Entertainment are once again teaming up to bring you a sequel to their highly successful 2010 released “Despicable Me”. The studios have hired the screenwriters Ken Daurio and Cinco Paul to pen the script once more. The sequel will be directed by Pierre Coffin along with Chris Renaud, who has directed the original and Chris Meledandri will be the producer of the movie, who also working for the upcoming movie “The Lorax”. Al Pacino will join Jason Segel, Steve Carell and Miranda Cosgrove to voice a major role, which is yet to be disclosed. Despicable Me 2 is due for release on July 03, 2013.
The original “Despicable Me” CG animation film resulted as a greater performer than the projected, as it received modest openings primarily. It was release early July 2010 and grossed just $56.3 millions at the opening and later on went on to earn $251 million in the United States and Canada and $290 million more in overseas market, totaling $540+ million worldwide.
