Europe is a finest melodic hard rock group from Sweden that never got it's due here in the United State. The band’s 1986 CD The Final Countdown was an excellent rock album for its time. I still love the title track of that record and its intense, upbeat rhythm! That dramatic guitar solo, where that John Norum lets it all out, is one of the most excellent moments in '80s rock music. They still play that single in some concerts or the countdown to the New Year. The only group that I can compare them to is Bon Jovi.
The band is currently in the studio working on their ninth studio album Bag of Bones with their new producer Kevin Shirley he is recognized for his work with musicians such as Aerosmith, Dream Theater and Iron Maiden.
Europe's Bag of Bones is expected to hit stores on April 18, 2012. The standard edition of the album contains the following songs:
