Nathan Fillion to star Percy Jackson 2: The Sea of Monsters

Fans of the Rick Riordan's bestselling book series “Percy Jackson & The Olympians” seem to be disappointed with the first movie adaptation however, 20th Century Fox is gearing up once again to bring the second book “The Sea of Monsters” to the silver screen. Nathan Fillion is attached to star as Hermes, father of antagonist Luke. Logan Lerman, Alexandra Daddario and Brandon T. Jackson will return to reprise their roles as Percy Jackson, Annabeth Chase and Grover Underwood. Thor Freudenthal will direct the adaptation base on script by Scott Alexander and Larry Karaszewski. Percy Jackson & The Olympians The Sea of Monsters will hit theaters in the fall 2013.

The story picks up about a year after the previous one left off, with Jackson getting in trouble at school once more. He's become friends with Tyson who is a target for school bullies that turn out to be monsters in mask. Even with Jackson friends’ power and quick response speed, they are still lack of strength, and about to be destroyed when Annabeth appears, assisting them defeat the monsters and escape to Camp Half Blood. The moment they arrive we learn that things have changed. Clarisse is protecting the border, with Ares siblings, from huge steal bulls that cannot be contact by human hands or they will be burned. Tyson once again protect them, since he is not burned, meaning he is not human. We learn that he is a Cyclops, and he is also Percy's brother.

They swiftly find the quests they want to go on this summer are to protect the camp by getting a particular item from the Sea of Monsters in the Caribbean, and also save Grover from a Cyclops. She is the one that acquires the quest to protect the camp this time, and she is not intended for choosing them to go along with her. So they slip away, coming across many risks along the way, and conquering each of them with their various skills.

  1. Haha, I actually clicked on the link for I thought it was an upcoming Peter Jackson project I haven't heard of.

    Not interested in this sequel. The first movie was not very good indeed.
