Loosely based on the video game Silent Hill 3 created by a Japanese video game developer, Konami, the game series has always had a Western flavor of horror which has produced a greater than cult following in the US and provides it an instinctive edge as a movie adaptation for Western movie fans. And not like its distant, but most relative Resident Evil, Silent Hill was a cinematic horror as a game and spilling over with possible to be transitioned to the silver screen. Director Michael J. Bassett makes an excellent effort, but Silent Hill 2 Revelation fails to be as great as it could have been.
The film stars Adelaide Clemens, Kit Harington, Deborah Kara Unger, Martin Donovan, Malcolm McDowell, Carrie-Anne Moss and Sean Bean. Akira Yamaoka (with the help of Jeff Danna) once again composed music for Silent Hills 2 Revelation.
