Taylor Stevens’ The Informationist getting the Movie Treatment

The book that most readers love, The Informationist by Taylor Stevens has landed a movie deal.

Lightstorm Entertainment has bought the film rights and James Cameron is attached to direct The Informationist for 20th Century Fox. Lightstorm's Jon Landau will produce together with Cameron. No casting, screenwriter or production start date announce yet.

The center of the story is simple. Emily Burbank disappeared in an isolated area of the Africa several years ago, when she was very young. Her wealthy step-father (Richard Burbank) has spent millions on the search.

Vanessa Munroe makes her living collecting information for any person who will pay her for it. She's also specialized in killing people. Richard hires her to find his daughter Emily. This is not her area of expertise, but she is familiar with the region and the languages and is an excellent analyst. Munroe is a last ditch effort for the closure that Emily’s step-father seeks.
