A film adaptation of Angry Birds has been confirmed by Rovio Entertainment recently. Angry Birds, for those who do not know, is a puzzle video game developed and published by Rovio Entertainment, where birds are tossed in order to gain points, get achievements and unlock new levels with great hidden features. Stunning characters, vivid settings and create gaming are the characteristics of an Angry Birds game.
The Angry Birds game was downloaded over one billion times since it was launched back in 2009. Follow-up editions have added two with a movie theme: Angry Birds Rio and the recently-dropped Angry Birds Star Wars.
The producer of Despicable Me is on board to produce the adaptation along with David Maisel, a former Chairman of Marvel Studios. Rovio will fund the project and will handle the entire creative process.
Angry Birds is expected sometime in 2016.
