Elton John says he is ready for First Public Appearance

Sir Elton John is ready to return to the stage. The veteran musician has been away from the music scene since July 3, after appendicitis attack that forced him to cancel all scheduled shows for the following weeks.

According to British newspaper, The Daily Mirror, the singer reportedly informed close friends that he is already and feeling great after the operation, and that he can’t wait to return to the stage.

His first public appearance will be on Monday at the BRITs Icon Award in London, where he will perform live. Two days later he will resume his World Tour 2013 with performance in Germany, British festivals like Bestival and iTunes and finally the annual show in Las Vegas.

The singer is also preparing to release his next album, the thirtieth of his career. "The Diving Board" which was produced by T-Bone Burnett, promises to be a hard "cut". The album will be released on the 24th of September.
