Aerosmith & Slipknot thrilled over 30,000 fans at Monster Of Rock Festival

The Monster Of Rock Festival took place this weekend at Arena Anhembi, in São Paulo. The first day of the event (19) featured performances from Limp Bizkit , Korn and Slipknot headlining on Saturday.

The masked band that has not released a new material since 2008, played their hit singles such as "Disasterpiece", "Psychosocial", "Before I Forget" and "Spit It Out ". The musicians also paid a tribute to bassist Paul Gray, who died in 2010, they played "Duality".

Before Slipknot hit the stage, the Korn performed their old hits and newer songs like " Never Never "," Prey for Me" and "Love & Meth". They also played "Roots Bloody Roots", alongside Derrick Green and Sepultura’s Andreas Kisser.


The second day of the festival had performances of Whitesnake, Ratt and Aerosmith, who closed the event on Sunday (20).

The Aerosmith played for about two hours for 30,000 fans and made the performance of their hit singles such as "Cryin ' ","Love In An Elevator", "I Do not Want To Miss A Thing","Dude (Looks Like A Lady) ," "What It Takes" and played covers of Beatles (" Come Together "), Fleetwood Mac ("Stop Messin 'Around ") and Led Zeppelin (" Whole Lotta Love ").

The band took the stage without bassist Tom Hamilton, who left the tour to return to the U.S. to take care of his health and was replaced by David Hull.

The Whitesnake also performed the classic "Is This Love?","Love Ain't No Stranger" and "Soldier of fortune ".
