Daft Punk will perform at Grammy Awards Ceremony 2014

The Daft Punk announced as the first musical attraction at the Grammy Awards in 2014, the most coveted award in the music industry.

This marks their first TV performance, something that does not occur for six years. The last time the French duo took the stage for a TV performance was in 2008 Grammy Awards alongside Kanye West.

The executive producer of the event, Ken EhrlichEles commented on the performance of the duo, "We negotiated a performance at the awards. Talked for over a month and finally they agreed to be part of the ceremony" said the American magazine Rolling Stone.

The Daft Punk competes in four categories, they are "Album of the Year", "Best Album Dance / Electronica" for "Random Access Memories","Record of the Year" and "Best Pop Duo/Group Performance", the hit "Get Lucky (Feat. Pharrell Williams)".

Besides the duo, singer Kendrick Lamar will also go up on stage at the Grammy Awards 2014, and more performances to be announced later.

The 56th edition of the Grammy Awards will take place on January 26 and will broadcast live from the Staples Center in Los Angeles for the whole world.
