Age of Empires: Castle Siege is the new game from one of the most successful strategy games franchises. The title was announced by Microsoft, and will include accelerated pace and gameplay with touchscreens. Age of Empires: Castle Siege will be released in September for Windows 8 PC / devices and Windows Phone 8.
According to the announcement, the player can choose between six different civilizations, as Britons and Teutons, and each one will feature six unique units. Now, it is possible to further expand your castle and build a city around you, protect yourself from attacks and obviously attacking castles built by other players, something that refers to the Clash of Clans . The game will also feature microtransactions to accelerate the development of its civilization.
As you can imagine, all these features will leave enough casual game which upset the fans of Age of Empires, waiting for years for the fourth episode of the franchise, something that seems increasingly distant from happening. In addition to the HD versions of the first two games of the series, Age of Empires Online was the last release, but had its servers shut down in early July.
