Get On Up: Mick Jagger to attend French premiere of James Brown biopic

Mick Jagger swapped music for film! Three months after his concert at the Stade de France, The Rolling Stones singer will be back in France. But this time in Normandy and as co-producer of the biopic Get on Up which traces the life of singer James Brown.

For the occasion, the rocker will be at the premiere broadcast on the 40th American Film Festival in Deauville on September 12 2014. The legend will be accompanied on the red carpet by the main actor of the film Chadwick Boseman, director Tate Taylor and producer Brian Grazer.

A film that will be enough to arouse the curiosity of music lovers as it is advertised as a true immersion in private and intimate life of "The Godfather of Soul" from his childhood where he lived with an abusive father and without a mother till his death in 2006.

This touching film will be released in theaters on September 24, 2014.
