Family confirms that Malcolm Young of AC / DC suffers from dementia

The family of AC / DC guitarist, Malcolm Young, confirmed that the musician is suffering from dementia. A short note was sent to People magazine on the subject. "Malcolm is suffering with dementia and the family thanks you for respecting his privacy," said the text.

When it appears, Malcolm suffered a stroke in April, when AC / DC was preparing to return to the studio. Since then the news about the real health states of the musician were few and often unmet.

His final departure from the group was confirmed a week ago (24). In the same announcement the band said that Malcolm is being replaced by Steve Young, his nephew and his brother Angus, the guitarist of the band. A new AC / DC album will also be released soon. "Rock Or Bust" will release on December 1, with a world tour already being planned for 2015.
