The Endless River will be Pink Floyd’s final album

According to guitarist David Gilmour, "The Endless River", which will be released in November, will be the last album off Pink Floyd.

Speaking to BBC radio, Gilmour said the band did not want to record again after the death of keyboardist Rick Wright (1943-2008). "The Endless River" which basically has ambient and instrumental music and was created from recordings made in the first half of the 90’s. It also features the last recordings made by Wright as a member of the band.

For the guitarist's work is a kind of tribute to the musician, he believes, has always had his role in the underrated band," by the public, media, and sometimes even for us, I hate to say," he said.

Gilmour said that there is no more material recorded by Pink Floyd that deserves to be released. According to him there are some unreleased recordings of Wright made in the past decade, when keyboardist attended his solo album "On An Island" 2006. This material may be released in the future, said the guitarist.
