AC Unity: Lags / Slow Downs - Improve game speed

Assassin's Creed: Unity players are experiencing some lags and slow down performances, fall in the rate of frames per second, on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. Some users then found a temporary fix, venture offline, and this recommendation is now being published also by the producer of the game, Ubisoft , while there is an update to resolve this issue.

For the first time in the series, Unity brings a cooperative mode in which your friends can freely enter and exit the game, participating actively in adventure at any time. However, this function appears to be a cause of the slowness and the Ubisoft is recommending that you disconnect from the Internet during the campaign.

Some users reported that offline play really helped to have fewer problems of slowness in the campaign. But more technical tests failed to reproduce these effects, stating that both online and offline there are drops in frame rate for the same.
