The Revenant: Leonardo DiCaprio takes all at BAFTAS 2016

Mexican director Alejandro González Iñárritu, known for his contribution to Birdman and Babel films, directs this year a thrilling survival film, The Revenant.

In a deeply American wild, Hugh Glass, a trapper, is attacked by a bear and seriously injured. Abandoned by his teammates, he is left for dead. But Glass refuses to die. Only armed with his will and carried by his love for his wife and his son, Glass undertakes a journey of over 300 km in a hostile environment, on the trail of the man who betrayed him. His thirst for vengeance will turn into a heroic struggle to brave all obstacles, return home and find redemption.

The Revenant is anything but a film like no other. The summary presents us as a rough film, and some scenes have already become cult at some sneak peeks of the film. Leonardo DiCaprio is also Rex came to the big show this film. He takes the lead role opposite Tom Hardy, and this role could lead him to get an oscar statuette that he covets so many years.

Sunday, February 14 the 69th BAFTAS, the British equivalent of the Oscars, The Revenant has bestowed numerous awards.

The Revenant is indeed the big winner of Bafta in 2016 with the award for Best Film, Best Director Alejandro González Iñárritu and Best Actor for Leonardo DiCaprio. The director of Babel and Birdman has dedicated the film to his father, who died two years ago, and his wife, with whom he has been married for 24 years. It was also the birthday of Tom Hardy, partner with Leonardo Dicaprio screen. So it is natural that it dedicated his award for best actor.
