The Nintendo Switch will be the next video game console from the Nintendo and it is set for release in March 2017. Here we have listed ten titles that are already confirmed for the new console.

Yooka-Laylee

A spiritual successor to the Banjo-Kazooie series, the Yooka-Laylee platform game was developed through a collective campaign that promised to launch the game on Wii U, but technical problems led the producer to take it to Switch.

Just like in Banjo-Kazooie you have a pair of heroes, a chameleon and a bat, with unusual powers and large open stages to hunt Paiges, pages of a magic book that replace the puzzle pieces of the previous series.

Seasons of Heaven

The first exclusive independent game announced for the Nintendo Wii U, Seasons of Heaven is based on a series of books that tell the story of survivors of humanity after events that have extinguished much of the species.

The trailer shows a boy and his dog exploring an unfamiliar location with beautiful graphics and unusual abilities that allow them to access new areas.

Monster Boy and the Cursed Kingdom

Based on the classic Wonder Boy series, the new Monster Boy aims to rescue all the charm of the franchise known for its action and exploration now with new characters.

The development of the game features the creator of the first titles, Ryuichi Nishizawa, as well as 2D graphics clearly inspired by the classic Master System and Mega Drive games.

LEGO City Undercover

One of the few LEGO games to be released exclusively on a platform, LEGO City Undercover is a title that can only be played on Wii U currently, but soon will also go to other consoles such as PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Switch.

In the role of the protagonist, police officer Chase McCain, players can explore an open city of LEGO and use various disguises to gain special abilities.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild

One of the most anticipated Wii U games, next installment in The Legend of Zelda series will also be available for the Nintendo Switch. From demo versions presented at game shows that the title has a gigantic and ruin open world in which players can freely move and explore various dungeons at their own pace as they unravel the history of this world.

Each dominated dungeon guarantees new powers to the protagonist Link that further increase his ability to interact with the world through powers like stopping time or doing things levitate. At the base of all this is a complex combat system with various types of weapons and armor with levels of durability and various ways to eliminate your enemy in an intelligent way.

Super Mario Switch

Very little is known about the new Super Mario title announced for Switch. The game appeared for a few seconds in Nintendo's new video game developer video and since then no information has been revealed by the company.

Apparently, as in Super Mario 3D Land and Super Mario 3D World, the action unfolds in isolated phases in which the player has to reach the end and not in open phases with stars to be acquired as Super Mario 64. However, there seems to be a city "hub" as in Super Mario Sunshine that connects these phases.

The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim - Special Edition

The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim is a conversion from one of the most successful RPGs of the past generation. In the role of the dragon slayer, the Dovahkiin, players have a huge world to explore, many missions to complete, powers to discover and mostly dragons to face.

Recently Special Edition remastering has also come out for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

Just Dance 2017

As a console-born series from Nintendo, Ubisoft was quick to confirm Just Dance 2017 for Switch, with songs like Jorna Fisher's "All About Us," "Sorry" by Justin Bieber, "Into You" by Ariana Grande and " Bang "by Brazilian Anitta.

What we don’t know yet is what will be the controls of the game, since there are still many mysteries about the possibility of movement controls in the Switch.

Dragon Quest 11

The new chapter in the saga of Japanese RPGs was recently revealed at an event by Square Enix, which confirmed its release for Switch, PlayStation 4 and Nintendo 3DS, the latter a more modest version.

Players will be able to freely explore the world of Rotozestasia, with the great sacred tree at its center, while participating in great adventures along with several other warriors. For nostalgic fans on Nintendo 3DS there will be a 2D version of the action of the game on the screen below.

Splatoon and Mario Kart

Due to the lack of success of the Nintendo Wii U in the market it is expected that many of your best games will end up receiving versions now for the Switch.

For now two titles have already been confirmed, with Splatoon and Mario Kart 8, which are believed to bring some extras as DLCs already included in the package. It is possible that more games will also be converted in the future, such as Super Smash Bros.
