Sniper Elite 4 Does Not Start

Some general solutions:

- Something may have gone wrong during the installation. Try a new installation.

- Start the game application as an administrator or experiments with various compatibility modes.

The Game Does Not Start on Steam

- Close the Steam Client once. Ensure that the Steam.exe is terminated during the processes in the Task Manager. Start Steam again and try the game again.

- If this does not help, right-click the game in your library and go to Properties - Local Files - Game Files to check for errors.

Error Message: SniperElite4_DX11.exe has stopped working

Problems with DirectX can be due to the Nvidia Ready Game files. You may have to switch to a previous driver. Go to your device manager in the control panel and select your graphics card. Under the Driver tab you can now select an earlier version.

Fix Cashes When Using Binoculars

Some players report that Sniper Elite 4 crashes when using binoculars. There is no official fix for this problem, but it helps if you disable DirectX 12 in the graphics settings. Apparently, the problem is exactly related to this.

Screen Freezes, Flicker and Low FPS

These errors are more or less interrelated. First, make sure your graphics drivers for Nvidia and AMD are up to date. Check also the applications in the background, which stress the CPU too much. If possible, close them in the Task Manager.

Other problems are related to DirectX 12, which makes the game seem to run poorly on many systems. Therefore, change to the graphics settings to DirectX 11, until a fix from the developers appears. If it still does not run, first attempt to minimize or disable effects such as anti-aliasing and postprocessing.

Pre-order Items Don’t Appear In The Game

Some players complained about missing pre-order items in Sniper Elite 4. But with Update on the newest game version this problem no longer exists. For example, if you pre-order the Deluxe Edition, you should receive your bonuses in the game after downloading the latest patch.
