Point Guard Build Guide in NBA 2K18

In NBA 2K18, you have to define the archetypes as a first step for your point guards build. You can specify a primary and a secondary skill to increase your player's attributes. Basically, you should choose between a few factors. If you want to become the classic role of Point Guards, your focus should be on fit and ball handling. If you want to become a scorer, we recommend a variant for 3-point or 2-point. With all our builds, the shooting hand doesn’t matter, since it should always be chosen according to your personal taste. This also applies to the shoulder width.

Classic Point Guard Build

As a classic point guard you have to place your team members on the scene. This is not only practical in the career, but also if you want to go to the outdoor court. Many players will create very defensive characters, so you can use your ball handling to take advantage of the lack of defense and move to the hoop.

- Primary: Fit / driving and ball handling skill
- Secondary: Fit / driving and ball handling skill
- Height: 1.85m - you are not too small and still fast.
- Weight: Very easy - you have to push your speed!
- Wingspan: High value.

This build is a lot of fun and speed. You will also receive five Hall of Fame. Give your stats a good boost.

3 Tier Point Guard Build

With this point guard build, it is your main task to take as many as three and to provide other free players with assists. You are a scorer but still fulfill the role of the player. Use the following archetypes or properties for this type of Point Guard:

- Primary: Fit and ball handling skills
- Secondary: 3 - Points
- Height: 1.95m - 1.98m (6.5 feet) - maximum size to get a speed boost.
- Weight: Average - if your player is too easy, he cannot get through the dribbling, he is too heavy, he gets slow.
- Wingspan: Maximum, since you can shoot in distress.

Unfortunately, you will not get Hall-of-Fame in this combination, but you will get many helpful bonuses on your passes, but still be a shooter from the outside. In addition, the Archetype "Fit and Ball handling skills" offers you all the attributes to create a confusion and always have the choice between your own qualification and assist.

Scoring / Shooting Point Guard

If your focus is not too big on threes, then you can opt for this Point Guard build. It will be your task to present a defensive threat at any time. Here you have only to choose whether you want to make your points out of the litter or if you want to become a slasher.

- Primary: Fit and ball handling skills
- Secondary: Shooting or driving and finishing skills
- Height: 2m - You get the speed boost and you are big enough to shoot or go over other players.
- Weight: if your player is too easy, he cannot get through the dribbling, he is too heavy, he becomes slow
- Wingspan: Maximum, since you can make such throws in distress

No matter what variant you choose, you aren’t a bad shooter or vice versa. Both secondary skills give you a wide range of offensive abilities.
