Femme Fatale by Britney Spears (Standard Edition)

I am a big Spears fan and have been listening to her since early 2000, and I had my doubts about her new album but I have to say, the Femme Fatale is pretty much what I would expect from her, and it is good and worth a listen if you are a fan of Britney Spears as she keeps the party going with this one and proves she's still got it.

The standard edition starts off with her second single off the CD "Till the World Ends" Catchy and danceable number.
Hold It Against Me” is the first song off the CD which is upbeat and incorporates a little more funkiness in her pop sound. That was hit No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100.

Femme Fatale, Britney Spears, cd "Inside Out" Mid tempo, but I can see people trance dancing to this one.

"I Wanna Go" This one adds a funky dance sound to the sassy lyrics. She reminds us that her image sells, and why.

"How I Roll" Her vocals are more breathy and sex kittenish here.

"Drop Dead - Beautiful" Okay, it does incorporate some sounds of another era, but otherwise nothing special about it.

"Seal It With a Kiss" Upbeat danceable track with catchy lyrics.

"Big Fat Bass" (featuring will.i.am) Another upbeat crowd rousing one that has a reliance on it's innovative wordplay.

"Trouble for Me" Not a favorite of mine but definitely a club-friendly.

"Trip to Your Heart" The best of the ballads, lyrically a typical heartbreak one. I don't think she's ever done a ballad so well, concentrating on her upbeat music. Glad this is an exception - she nails it. This was produced by Bloodshy, Jonback and Magnus.

"Gasoline" Yet another spectacular one. Her voice is front and center, the rhythm is a rockin', and the lyrics ring true--however simply stated they may be. I would like to see this become a future hit also; it's more than worthy.

The last one in standard edition titled "Criminal" Another ballad.  I love the flute features in this; the lyrics are delightfully campy and perfectly sung.

Overall, Femme Fatale like all of Spears’ previous CDs as it is auto tuned. Her music is what it is and will never be serious or anything more than over worked pop tunes. She has never had the greatest singing voice that is why they have to do all the tricks to it.
