I was a big fan of the original Underworld OST. It was heavy and it featured some of the best artists from the era. From the first track to the last track in the Underworld OST CD was close to perfection. It breaks the mould and set the bar high for quality and style on film soundtrack. That turned into profitable instruments for the film business often squeezing as many well-known mainstream singers as possible to broaden pop culture attention.
While all fans of this movie series have come to anticipate heroic vampire- and werewolf-filled battle sequences, the more musical fans have also come to anticipate excellent soundtracks packed with a high level of quality songs. And the OST to the fourth installment in the Underworld film series is sure to bring some quality music, it featuring impressive artists like Linkin Park, Evanescence and The Cure. Once again the music score was composed by Paul Haslinger. The soundtrack to the upcoming Underworld:Awakening is scheduled for release on January 17, 2012 through Lakeshore Records.
