Lady Gaga may join iTunes Festival 2013 Lineup, to promote Artpop

The singer has reportedly signed a contract to perform at the iTunes Festival 2013 in London.

Media reports claim that Lady Gaga will make her return during the next edition of the iTunes Festival, which takes place in London in the month of September. The singer spent much of 2013 in a wheelchair recovering from her hip surgery and there is a huge expectation about when and how she will return to the stage.

According to the British magazine THE SUN, the singer may use the event to kick off the release of her new album "Artpop", which is scheduled for release later this year. Apple, which organizes the festival declined to make any comment on the matter. Gaga will invest more than 1 million US dollars on the production of the show-with a capacity of just over 3000 people.

With or without  Lady Gaga, iTunes Festival promises to be one of the biggest musical events of 2013.

This year’s iTunes Festival line-up will feature singers and bands such as Justin Timberlake, Paramore, Queens Of The Stone Age, Arctic Monkeys, Elton John and Kings Of Leon.

Update:

Lady Gaga has confirmed via her Facebook page, "Artpop" will be released on November 11. Just do not expect an album in the traditional format. The album is actually just one part of an application that promises to revolutionize. The text on Facebook says "application is a system engineering that combines musical and visual art, music, fashion and technology with a new, interactive online community."

The text ends by saying that "artpop" can mean anything, but for Gaga, the work "is celebration of an obsession."
