2014 marks the 30th anniversary of the debut album of Bon Jovi. The band will mark the occasion with several reissues of their albums in deluxe format.
The kick off the series will be given not with the debut album, the little known "Bon Jovi", or "Slippery When Wet", but with their third album released in 1988 "New Jersey".
The album returns to stores in standard formats, deluxe and super deluxe editions. The double -disc version, plus B-sides will compact 13 tracks on this demo.
The package "super Deluxe" will also come with a book, and a DVD with clips and documentary "Access All Areas: A Rock & Roll Odyssey" which came out on VHS in the early 90s and still had not been released in this format. The overseas release is scheduled for the first day of July.
About the demos that will be in the package, they form the "The Sons of Beaches Demos" and bring several songs that did not make the final cut of "New Jersey".
For those unaware, at the time the band had plans to release a double album, but the idea was not accepted by the record, that they thought the high price of the album would disrupt its sales.
It is difficult to say now who had the right, but the fact is that "New Jersey" sold over seven million copies in the U.S. and placed five of their songs in the top 10 - including two," I'll Be There For You " and " Bad Medicine "in the first place.
In short, "New Jersey" was the album that proved that Bon Jovi would not be a "one hit wonder band", and this explains why this album has been chosen to mark the start of celebrations for 30 years of the group.
