According to The Wrap, the singer Ariana Grande joined the voice cast of the animated film Underdogs.
The 21-year old artist will voice the character Laura, for whom the protagonist of the story is love. The voice cast also includes the actress Katie Holmes and actors Matthew Morrison of Glee, Nicolas Hoult, Taran Killam and Bobby Moynihan.
The movie features the direction of Oscar winner Jose Campanella and is an adaptation of the Argentine blockbuster titled Memorias de un wing derecho written by Roberto Fontanarrosa.
Underdogs tells the story of a shy foosball player who, to defend his town and the girl he loves, Laura (Ariana Grande), must face a soccer star, Ace. For this, the protagonist will have the help of his doll that magically come to life.
The film will debut in the US theaters on April 15.
