⚠️ Spoiler Warning:
This guide covers REANIMAL: The Prisoner DLC achievements, optional areas, collectible-related trophies, the Keycard backtracking sequence, and the White Rabbit secret.
If you're trying to earn every achievement or trophy in REANIMAL: The Prisoner, the good news is that most of the DLC's objectives are straightforward once you know what to look for.
The bigger problem is that several achievements are easy to walk past.
The most important one is Into the Dark. After obtaining the Keycard, you might naturally continue along the main route. Don't. You need to turn around, return to the previous subway area, drop onto the tracks, and use the Keycard on a previously locked door to reach the White Rabbit.
This guide explains all 10 Prisoner DLC achievements, with particular attention to the missable moments, backtracking requirements, and collectible-related objectives.

| Achievement | Requirement | Easy to Miss? |
|---|---|---|
| One Down | Complete The Prisoner DLC | No |
| Into the Dark | Release the dying White Rabbit | Yes |
| Smile for the Camera | Photograph The Soldier at the photo stand-in | Yes |
| Warm Bodies | Rest beside the fireplace | Yes |

The current achievement listing confirms these ten DLC objectives and their requirements.
The important distinction is that not every achievement is a traditional "missable" trophy. Several are better described as easy-to-overlook objectives, because they can be completed during the DLC if you know where to look.
Which Prisoner DLC Achievements Are Missable?
The biggest achievement to watch is:
Into the Dark
This is the one most likely to be missed during a normal first playthrough because the required interaction happens behind you after obtaining the Keycard.
The correct sequence is:
- Reach the Keycard room.
- Pick up the Keycard.
- Do not simply continue forward.
- Return through the squeeze passage.
- Go back toward the previous subway platform.
- Drop onto the tracks.
- Find the locked door.
- Use the Keycard.
- Follow the dark passage.
- Interact with the White Rabbit.
Community players have independently pointed to the same solution: after getting the Keycard, return toward the trains and use the door on the left to reach the rabbit.
The other achievements are generally easier to recover if you know which areas contain their objectives, but it's still much faster to collect them during the first run.
Into the Dark – White Rabbit Achievement
Requirement: Release the dying White Rabbit from its painful end.
Missable warning: High
This is the achievement to prioritize if you're trying to avoid a second run.
Step 1: Get the Keycard
Continue through the DLC until you reach the room where you fight through the Spider Kids and obtain the Keycard.
After taking the Keycard, the obvious route continues forward.
Don't leave the area permanently yet.
Step 2: Turn Around
Return through the squeeze passage you previously used to enter the area.
This is the important part of the achievement.
You're effectively reversing the route you've just taken.
Step 3: Return to the Subway Tracks
Navigate back toward the earlier subway platform.
When you reach the station, look for the tracks on the left.
Drop down onto the tracks.
Step 4: Find the Locked Door
On the tracks, look along the darker side of the station for a previously inaccessible electronic door.
Use the Keycard on the door.
Step 5: Find the White Rabbit
Enter the dark passage and follow it to the end.
You'll eventually reach a small area containing the White Rabbit.
Interact with it.
Into the Dark should unlock.
The Important Shortcut to Remember
Keycard → Turn Around → Previous Subway → Tracks → Locked Door → White Rabbit
If you're already wondering why the achievement hasn't unlocked, this is almost certainly the part you're missing.
Smile for the Camera – Soldier Cutout
Requirement: Take a picture of The Soldier at the photo stand-in.
This achievement takes place in the shopping mall.
After obtaining the camera, find the soldier cutout/photo stand.
One character needs to position themselves behind the cutout while the other character uses the camera from the front.
In solo play, the companion can be directed into position using the partner command.
Quick steps
- Find the soldier photo stand.
- Position the companion behind the cutout.
- Use the partner command.
- Move to the front of the stand.
- Equip the camera.
- Take the picture.
The achievement is tied to the specific photo interaction rather than simply taking random pictures.
Warm Bodies – Fireplace Achievement
Requirement: Rest your weary bones and warm up beside the fire.
This one is easy to walk past because it looks like environmental decoration rather than an achievement opportunity.
After the Flamethrower encounter, you'll reach a room containing a burning fireplace and two chairs.
How to unlock Warm Bodies
- Find the fireplace room.
- Sit in the first armchair.
- Have your companion sit in the other chair.
- Stay seated.
- Wait for the camera to complete its wider cinematic movement.
Don't immediately get up.
The achievement triggers after the game completes the intended fireplace scene.
Quick tip
If nothing happens, make sure both characters are seated and wait rather than moving away immediately.
Remains of the Day – Bomb Crater Seat
Requirement: Sit down at the edge of the bomb crater.
This achievement appears during the Scorched Earth section.
When you reach the enormous bomb crater, the main path encourages you to move toward the crater.
Instead, look for the narrow route along the right-hand rim.
How to unlock it
- Reach the bomb crater.
- Don't immediately enter the main route.
- Stay to the right.
- Follow the narrow dirt ledge around the crater.
- Continue until you reach a solitary seat.
- Sit down.
- Wait for the camera to pull back.
The important landmark is the single chair overlooking the crater.
If you continue directly into the crater area, it's easy to miss.
Super Fly Poster – Find All 6 Posters
Requirement: Put up all six posters.
The six Super Fly posters are spread throughout the DLC.
Poster #1 – Canal Footbridge
Near the beginning of the DLC, cross the small wooden footbridge before the squeeze gap.
Look along the bridge structure for the poster.
Landmark: Wooden bridge immediately before the fence squeeze-gap.
Poster #2 – Under the Wooden Deck
After squeezing through the opening, don't immediately continue toward the mall.
Instead, go underneath the wooden deck and turn left toward the canal edge.
Landmark: Crawlspace underneath the wooden deck.
Poster #3 – Mall Apparel Store
Inside the first apparel/clothing store, look toward the right-hand clothing racks.
Crouch through the hanging clothes and follow the trail of fallen posters toward the wall opening.
The hidden space contains Poster #3.
Landmark: Right-side clothing rack and hidden wall hole.
Poster #4 – Bookshelf Hidden Passage
After the Flamethrower encounter, look for the wooden bookshelf blocking a wall opening.
Use an unexploded grenade to destroy the bookshelf.
This exposes the passage leading to the poster area.
Important: Don't simply search the wall. You need to clear the bookshelf first.
Poster #5 – Subway Platform
After the train ride to the next subway station, check the platform before continuing.
The poster is in the front-left corner, opposite the Spider Kid near the platform railing.
Landmark: Pillar/wall in the close-left foreground of the platform.
Poster #6 – Ticketing Hall
After restoring power and passing through the turnstiles, enter the Metro ticketing area.
Before going up the stairs toward the outside section, check the right wall.
This is the final poster.
Definition of Insanity – Exploding Suitcases
Requirement: Get killed by all exploding suitcase traps.
This achievement works differently from the normal collectible suitcases.
There are two trap suitcases that explode when opened.
Trap #1
You'll encounter the first exploding suitcase in the room after the Flamethrower sequence.
Interact with it and it detonates.
You'll die and respawn nearby.
Trap #2
The second trap appears in the Metro station.
Open it and the explosion kills you again.
After triggering both traps, Definition of Insanity unlocks.
Important distinction
Don't confuse these with the safe suitcases used for The Blood Hound.
There are two different suitcase-related objectives:
- Exploding suitcases: deliberately kill you.
- Blood Hound suitcases: open them and use the camera flash on the symbol inside.
That distinction can save you a lot of confusion during a completionist run.
The Blood Hound – Activate All Suitcases
Requirement: Find and activate all opened suitcases.
The Blood Hound objective is based around six collectible suitcases.
The interaction has two steps.
Step 1 – Open the suitcase
Approach the suitcase and interact with it.
Step 2 – Use the camera
Once the lid opens, equip the camera and flash the interior.
A glowing red symbol appears inside the suitcase.
The camera flash is required.
Simply opening the suitcase is not enough.
Six suitcase locations
| # | Area | Landmark |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Mall | Left alcove near apparel-store exit |
| 2 | Post-Flamethrower room | Left-side area near room entrance |
| 3 | Tripwire corridor | Beside the exit ladder |
| 4 | Metro station | In front of blocked escalators |
| 5 | Keycard room | Right foreground corner |
| 6 | Outdoor street | Behind abandoned car near delivery truck |
The easiest mistake
If you've opened all the cases but the achievement hasn't unlocked, go back and make sure you actually flashed the red symbol inside each one.
Frame Fatale – Photograph All Stalking Shadows
Requirement: Photograph all Stalking Shadows.
The Stalking Shadows are particularly easy to miss because they aren't obvious collectibles sitting in the environment.
The camera is the key.
When you point it toward the correct area and trigger the flash, the hidden shadow briefly becomes visible and disappears.
Shadow #1 – Secret Arcade
Find the hidden arcade after solving the fountain/tank route.
Go toward the back wall behind the arcade cabinets.
Use the camera flash.
Shadow #2 – Dark Stairwell
After the fireplace section, open the hidden bookshelf passage and descend the dark stairs.
At the bottom, look toward the piles of books and paper.
Use the camera there.
Shadow #3 – Scorched Earth Car
During the Scorched Earth section, look for the abandoned civilian vehicle near the crashed bus.
The shadow is positioned on the vehicle.
Flash it with the camera.
Shadow #4 – Metro Platform
At the subway station, check the foreground edge of the platform.
Look toward the wall/edge facing the tracks.
Use the camera flash.
Shadow #5 – Elevated Walkway
Before passing through the narrow squeeze door, check the concrete wall immediately to the left.
The shadow is easy to walk past if you immediately enter the door.
Shadow #6 – Outdoor Car
After leaving the Metro station, reach the outside area and turn toward the abandoned car.
The final shadow is on the roof of the vehicle.
Flash it with the camera.
Shadow hunting tip
If you're unsure whether you've found one, take photos of suspicious environmental surfaces.
Community players have also reported that the shadows can be extremely difficult to see normally and become apparent when using the camera flash.
Dust Buster – Destroy All Petrified Spider Kids
Requirement: Shatter all petrified Spider Kids with the axe.
There are six targets to destroy.
The important gameplay requirement is the Axe.
Once you've obtained it, you can destroy the petrified Spider Kids either by striking them directly or by using the companion command.
Spider Kid #1 – Train Roof
After obtaining the Axe inside the Metro train, don't immediately continue with the main puzzle.
Return to the train roof.
Use the companion boost to reach the roof and move toward the foreground.
You'll find the first petrified Spider Kid near the hatch.
Spider Kid #2 – Train Interior
Return into the appropriate train carriage.
Explore the foreground passenger car instead of immediately continuing with the train puzzle.
The second Spider Kid is inside.
This is one of the easiest ones to miss.
Community players have specifically pointed out the two Spider Kids around the train/Axe section as common missing targets.
Spider Kid #3 – Next Metro Platform
After the train ride, exit onto the next platform.
Check the right side near the safety railing.
Destroy the petrified Spider Kid.
Spider Kid #4 – Ticketing Hall
Later, after restoring power and entering the ticketing area, look underneath the large station clock.
The petrified Spider Kid is positioned against the back wall.
Spider Kid #5 – Outdoor Street
After leaving the subway, look around the abandoned car.
One Spider Kid is positioned against the vehicle.
Spider Kid #6 – Final Bridge
Near the final bridge sequence, search around the crashed vehicle.
The final petrified Spider Kid is leaning against the wreckage.
Destroy it before finishing the DLC.
Important Axe Tip
If you find one of these statues before getting the Axe, remember its location and return when possible.
The Axe is required for the Spider Kid destruction objective.

FAQ
Is Into the Dark missable in REANIMAL The Prisoner?
It is one of the easiest Prisoner DLC achievements to miss. After obtaining the Keycard, you need to backtrack to the previous subway platform, drop onto the tracks, unlock the previously inaccessible door, and interact with the White Rabbit.
Where is the White Rabbit in The Prisoner DLC?
The White Rabbit is behind a locked door on the subway tracks. You need the Keycard from the later security room to open the door and reach it.
Do I have to backtrack after getting the Keycard?
Yes. Don't simply continue along the main route. Turn around and return to the previous subway section.
How do I unlock Warm Bodies?
After the Flamethrower encounter, sit with your companion in the two chairs beside the fireplace and wait for the camera sequence to finish.
How do I unlock Remains of the Day?
At the large bomb crater in the Scorched Earth section, take the narrow ledge around the right side instead of following the main path. Sit in the chair overlooking the crater and wait.
How do the Blood Hound suitcases work?
Open each safe collectible suitcase and then use the camera flash on the symbol inside. Opening the suitcase alone isn't enough.
How many exploding suitcases are there?
The achievement route uses two exploding suitcase traps. Both must kill you to unlock Definition of Insanity.
How do I find the Stalking Shadows?
Use the camera flash around suspicious environmental areas. The hidden shadows become visible when illuminated by the camera.
Where are the hardest Petrified Spider Kids?
The two around the Axe/train section are particularly easy to miss. Check both the roof and the interior of the train before leaving that area. Community players have independently identified these as common missing targets.
Are the masks required for the Prisoner achievements?
No. The Pumpkin Head and Space Suit / Astronaut Helmet Mask are optional cosmetic finds and are not required for the DLC's achievement list.
Final Tips for a Clean Prisoner DLC Run
The Prisoner DLC is short, but its achievement design rewards players who slow down and explore.
The biggest things to remember are:
1. Don't rush past the Keycard
The Into the Dark route is the most important missable sequence.
Keycard → turn around → subway tracks → locked door → White Rabbit.
2. Don't confuse the suitcases
There are two types:
- Exploding suitcases: open them to die.
- Collectible suitcases: open them and flash the symbol with your camera.
3. Explore the train twice
After getting the Axe, check both:
- the train roof
- the train interior
This is an easy place to miss Petrified Spider Kids.
4. Use the camera aggressively
The camera isn't just for story progression.
Use it around:
- suspicious walls
- cars
- dark corners
- book piles
- suitcases
- hidden environmental details
That's especially important for Frame Fatale and The Blood Hound.
5. Check optional paths before progressing
The Prisoner frequently hides objectives just off the obvious route. The mall clothing rack, secret arcade, bookshelf passage, crater ledge and subway tracks are all good examples.
Bottom Line
If you're aiming for the REANIMAL The Prisoner DLC 100% achievement/trophy completion, the most important objective is Into the Dark.
Unlike the straightforward collectible achievements, it requires you to recognize that the DLC wants you to reverse your route after obtaining the Keycard.
Get the Keycard, turn around, return to the previous subway platform, drop onto the tracks, unlock the hidden door and interact with the White Rabbit.
After that, the remaining achievements are mostly a matter of carefully checking the environment for the six posters, six suitcases, six Stalking Shadows and six Petrified Spider Kids.
The DLC's ten achievements are officially listed as a separate add-on set, while community reports also confirm the White Rabbit route and identify the train section as a common source of missed Spider Kids.
