1 Direction Best Song Ever fails to top UK Chart, Wake Me Up remains #1

Regardless of strong competition for One Direction’s "Best Song Ever, the Swedish Dj AVICII remained in first place for the second straight week of the UK singles chart with "Wake Me Up (Feat. Aloe Blacc)".

The boyband’s new single Best Song Ever, which ended up in second place will have to wait at least another one week to see if it can topple the UK chart.

In the album chart the big news was Jahmene Douglas’ new single "Love Never Fails" storms to first place. The singer was the runner-up of the TV show The X Factor (last season)

The rest of the top 5 showed the biggest news. "Blurred Lines" by Robin Thicke dropped to second place and "Magna Carta ... Holy Grail "of Jay Z was ended up in the third place. Finally, "Time" by Rod Stewart swapped position with "All The Little Lights" the Passenger, for the last week. The Englishman was 29 years in the fourth and fifth veteran Scot.

Only two other albums have made their debut in the top 20 this week. "Stars Dance" from Selena Gomez was in 14th place and "Live At The Hyde Park" from Rolling Stones, released in digital format only, is in 16th place.
