Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children Movie in the works

20th Century Fox has teamed up with Chernin Entertainment to bring Ransom Riggs’ best selling mystery horror novel Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children to the big screen. The director Tim Burton is currently in negotiations with them to join the adaptation, while Peter Chernin, Dylan Clark and Jenno Topping will produce the film.

The story follows Jacob Portman, who has spent his whole life listening to his grandfather’s stories. Now he is sixteen years old and does not believe those 'fairy stories'. But when his grandfather dies mysteriously, he sees something in the woods at the back of his house that make him speculate if his grandfather might not have been mad after all. To get over this situation his parents decided to take him to a remote island where his grandfather grew up. What he finds out in the Island is something he never imagines. Not only were his grandfather's stories true, but the kids and their caretaker may still be living...and they want Jacob.
