Metric Synthetica EU/US tour-Ontario Berlin London Paris

Hailing from Toronto, Canada, Emily Haines and her band Metric have been around for over ten years now, bringing their brand of new wave pop to the table. They released their first record in 2003, which lay the foundation for their sound, one that would be expanded upon by evenly engaging sophomore album. Then while they were already at work on their third album, Last Gang Records re-released their long-ignored first album and possibly their most creative album to date, Grow Up and Blow Away. Lastly, their fans are getting what they want; an amazing follow-up to their sophomore effort. Sadly, their last album Fantasies is nowhere close as solid a record as Metric has proven themselves capable of making music.

After a three-year hiatus Metric retuned with their fifth studio album Synthetica. It will also feature guest appearances by Lou Reed (The Velvet Underground). The album is set for release on June 12, 2012 through Metric Music International.
