The Agonist is a contemporary metal band from Canada, fronted by female vocalist Alissa White. She has different vocal styles, and uses a low rasping vocal; like a death metal singer, she uses a mid-pitched scream like some of hardcore bands, and she uses a very clean operatic voice. Occasionally her lows look like unnatural and cliché, but otherwise she is a very resourceful singer.
The band will drop their third studio album Prisoners on June 5, 2012 through their label Century Media Records. Which is produced with the help of Christian Donaldson, and the mixing is done by Tue Madsen. Ideomotor will serve as the first single from the album, which is currently available as a digital download from Amazon or iTunes
