Men Without Hats (MWH) are absolutely one of the most diverse and talented bands in the music industry. Since the majority of people only know them due to the memorable yet extremely overplayed late eighties hit “Pop Goes the World”, they either love or hate them. When the nineties came along, technopop musical style lost its popularity. And some former technopop groups start playing guitars in order to stay in fashion. The main crisis with this was that majority of these groups ended up losing their way. All of a sudden, their music became smoother and more serious and the outcome was loosing of existing fans without gaining new ones. Conversely, MWH managed to change their sound without losing the essence of what they were.
Its been almost a decade since the last time we heard from them, and now the band have reformed with a new lineup, Lou Dawson, James Love and Mark Olexson joined Ivan Doroschuk, and will drop their next album Love in the Age of War on June 05, 2012. The album will contain the following track list:
