After hacking away in the punk underground for more than ten-years and releasing two grainy, energetic records, The Offspring rose to international fame in the mid nineties with the classic punk record Smash. It is most likely the best record they have ever put out. The overall sound of the whole lot on the album is just excellent. It's its own tour de force. They have always been an exceptional band. Even now they still are able to make most excellent punk style music despite all of the mainstream radio and emo punk taking over the airwaves.
After four years hiatus since their last effort, The Offspring is gearing up to drop their ninth studio album titled “Days Go By” on June 26, 2012 through Columbia Records. The new album is produced by Bob Rock and Days Go By" and "Cruising California (Bumpin' in My Trunk)" were released as promotional singles from the upcoming album.
