KOL revealed 2013 UK, Germany, Belgium, Portugal tour dates

Just 5 records into their recording career, Kings of Leon (KOL) is a totally different group than they were a decade ago. With the drop of their first record in 2003, the band emerges as the hottest torch bearers for Southern garage rock. They sounded similar to a mixture of the Arctic Monkeys and The Black Crows, with often incomprehensible vocals and a straight ahead rock sound. They honed that sound on their sophomore album and reached new height on their finest record to date, their third record showed them experimenting with new sounds while preserving their heavy-rock sound. While achieving great success in UK, KOL basically sustained a small but loyal following in the US. That, of course, was until their fourth records “Only by the Night”, which brought them international recognition. They sounded little bit rough and tumble in their early releases. Many die-hard followers used the dreaded word "sellout" when explaining the more refined sound. I'm in fact a follower of both versions of the group, but I actually like their last two albums over their first three, simply because the songs are more memorable.

KOL is expected to drop their sixth studio album in 2013, will tour UK, Germany, Belgium, and Portugal in mid-2013.

KoL tickets go on-sale on Friday 9th November and are available from LiveNation.co.uk, Ticketmaster.co.uk or GigsandTours.com.
