Eric Clapton (EC) Old Sock features Steve Winwood, JJ Cale

Eric Clapton (E.C.) is recognized as one of the best guitarists in the history of blues-rock music. He gets better and better through the years, with his estimable personal style. He knew to get off from the rock sound in the late 70’s keeping a personal profile and turning attentively to the musical roots of L. J. Hooker, incorporating inspiring lyrics, following the traces of his spiritual guide: Bob Dylan. Since his immortal presence as guitarist / vocalist in Cream in those far 60’s to the present times E.C. has walked a long and winding road. Unlike many in the music industry who trust in studio wizardy, excessive charisma, or fearlessness, E.C. built - and kept - his reputation anchored in one simple fact: the man plays guitar better than just about anyone, ever. Whether he's playing his own compositions, blues standards, or rock, E.C. engages the listener with a passion few can match.

Old Sock will be Eric Clapton’s 21st studio album produced by Doyle Bramhall II, Justin Stanley and Simon Climie. The album will feature guest appearances including Paul McCartney, Steve Winwood and JJ Cale.

EC’s new album Old Sock will be available for purchase on March 13, 2013 through Bushbranch.
