Big Boi to hit the road for Shoes for Running tour, 2013

Being a hip-hop fan, it's hard to ignore the drift that this art form is gravitating toward, making it a rarity to find a singer like Big Boi in this genre. I'm not saying that the others singers aren't exceptional in their own rights, but you can tell by the lyrics what kind of mind composed the work and if that singer is truly artistic or not. Outkast has been famous for being "different" and ever since they enter USA's collective conscience two-decade ago, the duo has made it a point to try out a wide range of musical styles. This attitude became part of Big Boi's solo career that he began in 2008 and since then he has dropped two albums. His sophomore album “Vicious Lies and Dangerous Rumors” released in 2012 featuring guest artists such as Kid Cudi, Little Dragon and Killer Mike is not quite a stunner and he experiments with different sounds here, but still adds some hood stuff in there too.

Big Boi will hit the road for “SHOES FOR RUNNING TOUR” across the USA this summer in support of his recent album “Vicious Lies and Dangerous Rumors”. The tour will kick off in Georgia on April 18 and will wrapping up in Boston on June 19. Check out the complete tour dates and setlist below:
