Most rock bands these days get their inspiration from other contemporary rock bands or perhaps some of the more imaginative of them have gone as far back as eighties. But that's about it. A small number of them have an understanding of their ability beyond that and show no concern in gaining an understanding beyond that. It's pretty scary and most likely a good explanation as any as to why modern rock and roll has been so dreadfully bland for so many years.
Black Rebel Motorcycle Club (BRMC) was never one of those that were bland, though. Maybe their first few records didn't exactly revolutionize rock and roll, but they certainly brought a great deal of originality to the genre with their last two albums, “The Effects of 333” & “Beat the Devil's Tattoo”, which could best be described as sort of a southern rock and blues mix. Both records rocked pretty hard and were very intense and as good as their debut and sophomore albums.
It is three years since they released their last effort, BRMC are back with a new record, Specter At The Feast will be their seventh studio album which is slated for release on March 19, 2013.
