Vampire Weekend drop two songs from Modern Vampires of the City

Vampire Weekend (VW) are an indie rock band, consist of Ezra Koenig, Rostam Batmanglij, Chris Tomson and Chris Baio, that created huge buzz with its early material in 2007, and when their self-titled first album dropped in early 2008, it was an instant hit in the indie-music community. In 2010, VW released their second album "Contra". It was not as instantly catchy as their previous album but the songs were just as strong and certainly more diverse. The string arrangements were a little less motivated but the rest of the instrumentation was artistic and more texturally interesting.

VM dropped two singles, “Diane Young” and “Step” from their upcoming album Modern Vampires of the City, which is set for release on May 13, 2013 via XL.
