Microsoft is apparently following the footsteps of Sony's PlayStation Plus premium service and offers Xbox Live Gold members free games on a regular basis.
According to a media report, Microsoft promises to giveaway free two selected games on its Xbox Live Gold members each month, until the end of the year. The first offer will start on July 01 with "Fable 3" followed by “Assassin’s Creed 2 ," and then on July 16 " Halo 3". The same pattern will continue until December, and what follows after that is unclear.
However, Microsoft will continue to boost its gold membership by similar promotional offers to compete against the Sony's PlayStation premium service.
The current offer has a great advantage as players may keep their bonus material even after their gold membership expires.
