My Chemical Romance to drop Compilation album in 2014

After surprising fans with the sudden end of the band, My Chemical Romance has announced a new album early next year.

This is a compilation with the main successes of their 12-year career. The news was confirmed by the lead singer, Gerard Way, who is currently designing the packaging.

"The release is a 'Greatest Hits' that Warner Bros. is putting out. I am designing the packaging" the musician wrote on his Twitter when asked by a fan.

The album is scheduled to hit stores on January 21, 2014.
