Billie Joe Armstrong revealed in an interview with the BBC Radio 2 that Green Day will be away from the spotlight from next year, after the Australian tour that will take place in the first quarter of 2014.
"We're going to Australia to tour there and then we'll pause," said the lead singer of the band to presenter Jo Whiley. "We're not doing much anyway, so it's good to try to do other things, you know when we are ready for Green Day will be back with our batteries recharged," added the musician.
Recently, Billie Joe joined the singer Norah Jones in the project Billie Joe + Norah in doing a tribute to the group Everly Brothers with new versions of their hits. The first album of this partnership, "Foreverly" was released last week.
