Samsung has unveiled two mid-range smartphones, the Galaxy A72 and the A52, yesterday. The number of new features that these two phones bring over their predecessors is nothing short of amazing.
So let's take a look at the best new features the Galaxy A72 that are typically reserved for its flagship phones.
Galaxy A72 has a 90Hz FHD+ AMOLED display at 6.7". Higher refresh rate displays make moving content look and feel smoother and snappier and make the most noticeable difference when it comes to gaming. They are increasingly popular in modern smartphones, particularly in the premium market. So it's nice to see Samsung making this available in affordable mid-tier handsets as well.
Not only that the display can go up to 800-nit of brightness so outdoor viewing isn't an issue at all.

The Galaxy A72 also features IP67 rating for water and dust resistance which means you can submerge the phone underwater for up to 30 minutes in 1 meter deep.
The A72 has a mammoth 5000mAh battery which can easily last the phone a whole day without needing to refill in between. In fact, Samsung says it can deliver 2 days' worth of juice with a single charge which is a little exaggerated but you can comfortably go a whole day with this battery.
25W charging is supported too, though Samsung is only going to ship a 15W charger in the box.
Finally, the Galaxy A72 will have 3 years of major Android updates along with 4 years of security updates making the handset one of the best options in the midrange segments.
Samsung has priced this handset lower than its predecessor even while offering these big upgrades is highly appreciated.
