If you’ve been creeping around Tamriel in Oblivion Remastered and want to dive into the dark side, Namira’s Daedric quest is one of the most twisted side stories—and a great way to snag Namira’s Ring, one of the better utility items for stealthy builds.
This guide walks you through how to start the quest, complete it, and what’s changed or been updated in the 2025 remastered version.
How to Start Namira’s Quest
-
Location: Namira's Shrine is southwest of Bruma, nestled in the Jerall Mountains. Use the Cheydinhal or Bruma stables and ride out.
-
Shrine Requirements:
-
You must have under 20 Personality to begin the quest.
-
If your Personality is higher, use a Drain Personality spell or potion (or create one via Spellmaking at the Arcane University).
-
You also need one Ectoplasm as an offering.
-
Walkthrough: Step-by-Step
-
Activate the Shrine
Namira will only talk to you if your Personality is under 20. Speak to her to begin. -
Quest Objective
You’ll be tasked with corrupting the priests of Arkay by casting a Spell of Darkness on them while they pray at a ruin called Anga. -
Travel to Anga
It’s located northeast of the shrine. Bring stealth gear or invisibility spells if you want to avoid combat. -
Use the Spell of Darkness
Namira gives it to you automatically. You must cast it while the priests are in prayer, not during combat. If successful, they’ll stop praying and turn into mindless wanderers. -
Return to the Shrine
After all priests are corrupted, go back to Namira and she’ll reward you.
Rewards: Namira’s Ring
-
+12 to Personality
-
Reflect Damage 10%
Perfect for stealthy or manipulative characters, or those needing to offset earlier stat drains.
