๐Ÿ” How the Co-Op Mode Works: Team Mechanics Explained

Joint Investigation: The Divine Maze is a dedicated 3-player PvE event where teamwork isn’t just encouraged—it’s essential for victory.

Core Gameplay Loop

  1. Select a Themed Stage – Each stage has specific objectives, such as executing a set number of Ultimate attacks or landing Defensive Assists.

  2. Assemble Your Squad – Pick an Agent to control. Role suggestions (DPS, Break, Support) help balance your team.

  3. Master the Chain Overdrive – A shared Chain Meter fills as players perform techniques. When full, all three players can activate a synchronized Chain Attack, dealing massive team-wide damage.

  4. Revive to Survive – Fallen teammates can be revived during battle. Faster revives keep team DPS high and improve success chances.

What Makes This Co-Op Special

This is ZZZ’s first true combat co-op mode, replacing prior casual multiplayer mini-games with high-stakes, strategic combat. It’s the first step toward a more connected New Eridu, where victory depends on team coordination as much as individual skill.

๐Ÿ† Event Rewards

Co-op success comes with exclusive rewards, including:

  • Polychrome (premium currency)

  • Upgrade Materials (Senior Investigator Logs, Denny, etc.)

  • Unique Titles & Namecard to commemorate your achievements

๐Ÿ’ก Pro-Tips for Your First Co-Op Run

  1. Coordinate Roles, Not Just Characters – Balance damage, stun, and support. Three attackers rarely perform as efficiently as a coordinated team.

  2. Communicate the Chain – Use quick chat or voice communication to time your Chain Overdrive for maximum effect on bosses or mobs.

  3. Prioritize Revives – A dead teammate deals no damage. Always revive immediately to minimize DPS loss.

  4. Experiment with Synergy – Test Agent combinations. Buffs, debuffs, and cross-team abilities can create devastating combos.

๐Ÿš€ Ready for Deployment?

The gates to The Divine Maze open on January 3, 2026. Ensure you’ve reached Inter-Knot Level 15 and completed “Mole in the Hole” to join immediately.

Whether you run with friends or queue through matchmaking, this event offers your first true taste of ZZZ multiplayer combat, along with premium rewards and an experience that will change how you play the game.
