MW4 DMZ Healer Order Stuck? Medkit Track Recipe Fix

Updated October 27, 2026

MW4 DMZ Healer Order guide showing the Medkit recipe in the 3D Printer, missing Binding Catalyst, and Mirae General Hospital location.

The Healer Order in Modern Warfare 4 DMZ can leave you stuck even when you have already unlocked the Medkit recipe. You open the 3D Printer, select Track Recipe, and nothing happens. Without completing that step, you cannot finish the first Healer objective on Page 7.

One possible reason is that your existing tracked recipes are occupying the available tracking slots. Removing an older tracked recipe has helped players get the Medkit tracking option working again.

Once the tracking objective is complete, you must also print a Medkit. If you are missing Binding Catalyst, Mirae General Hospital and the nearby medical tents are good places to search.

This guide covers the tracking workaround, both Healer objectives, the Medkit crafting requirements, and where to find Binding Catalyst.

Quick Answer: How to Fix the Healer Order

If Track Recipe does nothing when you select the Medkit:

  1. Open the 3D Printer at your Forward Operating Base (FOB).
  2. Select the Tracked category.
  3. Choose an older recipe you no longer need to track.
  4. Select Untrack Recipe.
  5. Return to Consumables → Medkit.
  6. Select Track Recipe again.
  7. Check whether the first Healer objective updates to 1/1.

Untracking older recipes has resolved this problem for some players, although it is not a guaranteed fix for every affected account.

After tracking the Medkit, collect 30 Chemicals, 1 Binding Catalyst, and 5 Biomaterials, then print a Medkit to complete the second objective.

Page 7 Healer Order Requirements

Healer is Order 03 on DMZ Orders Page 7.

You need to complete two objectives:

Objective Required Progress
Track the Medkit Recipe in the 3D Printer 1/1
Print a Medkit 1/1

These are separate tasks.

Simply unlocking the Medkit recipe does not complete the tracking objective. You must activate Track Recipe from the 3D Printer.

Likewise, tracking the recipe does not automatically print the item.

If your Orders panel shows:

  • Track the Medkit Recipe in the 3D Printer — 1/1
  • Print a Medkit — 0/1

Your tracking step is already finished. You only need to craft the Medkit.

The Healer Order requires you to track the Medkit recipe and print a Medkit.

How to Fix Medkit Track Recipe Not Working

If the Medkit recipe is unlocked but selecting Track Recipe does not register, check your existing tracked recipes first.

The 3D Printer lets you track recipes and their required ingredients. However, you cannot keep an unlimited number of recipes tracked simultaneously.

If the available tracking slots are occupied, adding another recipe may fail.

Step 1: Open the Tracked Category

At the FOB, interact with the 3D Printer.

Look at the category list on the left side of the screen.

Select Tracked, near the top of the list, to review the recipes you are currently monitoring.

Step 2: Untrack an Older Recipe

Select a recipe you no longer need to monitor.

Open its details and choose Untrack Recipe.

This removes the recipe from your active tracking list. It does not delete the unlocked recipe or consume its crafting materials.

If you have several unnecessary recipes tracked, consider removing more than one.

Step 3: Track the Medkit Again

Return to the Consumables category and select Medkit.

Look at the available action:

  • Track Recipe means the Medkit is not currently tracked.
  • Untrack Recipe means the Medkit is already tracked.

If Track Recipe is available, select it again after freeing a slot.

Step 4: Check Your Healer Progress

Open the DMZ Orders panel and check Page 7.

If the workaround succeeds, the first Healer objective should show 1/1.

If it remains incomplete, try removing another unnecessary tracked recipe and checking again.

How Many Recipes Can You Track?

There is a limit on simultaneous recipe tracking, but the exact maximum is not consistently established.

The practical solution is to review the Tracked category and remove recipes you no longer need instead of relying on a particular slot count.

Important: If untracking older recipes does not help, the problem may be different from an ordinary tracking-capacity issue. See the additional troubleshooting section.

How to Track the Medkit Recipe in the 3D Printer

For normal Healer progression, follow this menu path:

FOB → 3D Printer → Consumables → Medkit

The Medkit belongs to the Epic Consumables category.

Select it to display its description, required materials, and available actions.

The main options include:

  • Track Recipe: Adds the Medkit to your tracked recipes.
  • Untrack Recipe: Removes the Medkit from your tracked recipes.
  • Ingredient Locations: Shows where the materials needed for crafting can be found.

On PC, the documented tracking shortcut is S. On a controller, follow the button prompt displayed on your screen.

If the Medkit already displays Untrack Recipe, check your Healer progress before changing anything.

You may have already completed the first objective.

The Medkit recipe screen shows its crafting requirements and whether the recipe is currently tracked.

Medkit Crafting Materials in MW4 DMZ

To print one Medkit, you need:

Material Required Amount
Chemicals 30
Binding Catalyst 1
Biomaterials 5

You can check your available quantities directly on the recipe screen.

For example, your materials might show:

  • Chemicals: 197/30
  • Binding Catalyst: 0/1
  • Biomaterials: 6/5

In this situation, you have enough Chemicals and Biomaterials, but you still need one Binding Catalyst.

The 3D Printer will not let you print the Medkit while a required ingredient is missing.

What Does the Medkit Do?

The Medkit is an Epic consumable described in-game as:

Repairs your wound, restoring max health.

That makes it useful beyond the Healer Order, particularly when injuries reduce your maximum health during deployments.

For more on the injury system, see our MW4 DMZ Wounded guide: How to Heal and Restore Your Tourniquet.

Where to Find Binding Catalyst in MW4 DMZ

If Binding Catalyst is the only material you are missing, head to Mirae General Hospital.

The Medkit's Ingredient Locations screen identifies the primary sources as:

Mirae General Hospital and medical tents.

Binding Catalyst is a Rare crafting material used in the 3D Printer. You only need one to craft a Medkit for Healer.

Step 1: Locate Mirae General Hospital

Open your tactical map during a deployment.

Look for Mirae General Hospital, north of The Grid and west of Nurigo Mall.

The hospital appears as a named location on the map, making it easier to identify before traveling there.

Set a waypoint and approach the area carefully.

Mirae General Hospital is a useful destination for collecting Binding Catalyst.

Step 2: Search the Blue-and-White Medical Tents

When you reach the hospital, look for the blue-and-white medical tents around the exterior.

You do not need to search only the main hospital building.

Explore the accessible tents and check their medical storage containers.

The tents are recognizable by their blue-and-white coverings and the medical equipment inside.

Check the medical tents around Mirae General Hospital for searchable supplies.

Step 3: Check Medical Bags for Binding Catalyst

Prioritize Medical Bags while searching the tents.

Binding Catalyst can appear inside these containers.

When you find one, the item information identifies it as a Rare material used for 3D Printer crafting.

A Medical Bag at Mirae General Hospital can contain a Binding Catalyst, so this is a useful container type to inspect.

Binding Catalyst can be found in Medical Bags at Mirae General Hospital.

Note: Binding Catalyst is not guaranteed in every bag or tent. If you do not find one immediately, continue checking other medical containers.

Step 4: Extract With the Material

Once you find Binding Catalyst, make sure you have enough backpack space to carry it.

You only need one for the Healer Medkit, but extra units may be useful for later crafting.

If your inventory is full, our MW4 DMZ Backpack Full guide explains how to free space and manage valuable loot.

After collecting the material, extract successfully so you can use it for crafting back at the FOB.

Is Mirae General Hospital the Only Binding Catalyst Location?

No. The ingredient information identifies Mirae General Hospital and medical tents as primary sources, not necessarily exclusive locations.

Other medical containers may also be worth searching.

However, the hospital and its nearby tents provide a straightforward place to start when you need Binding Catalyst specifically for Healer.

After gathering the required materials, return to the FOB.

Follow these steps:

  1. Open the 3D Printer.
  2. Select Consumables → Medkit.
  3. Check that you have 30 Chemicals, 1 Binding Catalyst, and 5 Biomaterials.
  4. Select Print to Operator.
  5. Complete the printing interaction.
  6. Open DMZ Orders Page 7 and check the Healer objective.

When all materials are available, the printing buttons become active.

The 3D Printer also offers Print to Stash, allowing you to store a crafted Medkit rather than placing it directly with your Operator.

For the most straightforward Healer completion attempt, use Print to Operator and check whether the Order registers the craft.

Both printing options become available when the required Medkit materials are present.

What If Your Inventory or Stash Is Full?

Printing destinations have different storage requirements.

If your Operator does not have enough available space, manage your backpack before printing.

If your Stash is full, you may need to free storage capacity before sending additional items there.

See our MW4 DMZ Stash Full guide for help with storage limits and deployment restrictions.

Healer Still Stuck? Other Problems to Check

If the Order remains incomplete, first identify whether the problem is with tracking or printing.

Medkit Is Unlocked, but Tracking Still Shows 0/1

Unlocking the recipe is not the same as tracking it.

Open the Medkit recipe and select Track Recipe.

If the action does nothing, untrack older recipes and try again.

Medkit Shows Untrack Recipe, but Healer Is Incomplete

The Untrack Recipe option indicates that the Medkit is currently tracked.

Check which Healer objective is still at 0/1.

If the first objective has already registered, you should move on to printing rather than repeatedly changing the tracking state.

If the first objective remains incomplete despite the recipe being tracked, there is no confirmed universal workaround for that specific progress failure.

Completed FOB Upgrade Is Still Tracked

Some players have reported that a completed FOB upgrade can disappear from the upgrade menu while its tracked ingredients remain pinned.

This may leave fewer usable tracking slots than expected.

Check the Tracked category and remove any accessible recipes or upgrades you no longer need.

If the completed upgrade is no longer visible and cannot be selected, there is currently no confirmed recovery method for removing that inaccessible tracking entry.

Print to Operator Is Disabled

Check the ingredient quantities shown on the Medkit recipe.

You must have all three required materials before printing becomes available.

If you are missing Binding Catalyst, search the Medical Bags around Mirae General Hospital.

Also check whether inventory space is preventing you from using your preferred printing destination.

Printed a Medkit, but Healer Still Shows 0/1

Open Page 7 and confirm which objective remains incomplete.

Make sure you used the 3D Printer to craft the Medkit rather than simply picking one up during a deployment.

If the printing objective still does not register after a successful craft, there is no established universal fix.

Avoid repeatedly spending Binding Catalyst on additional Medkits without confirming whether the objective is updating.

Final Tips

The easiest way to finish Healer is to handle the two objectives separately.

If Track Recipe does nothing, check your existing tracked recipes and remove older entries before trying again.

If tracking already shows 1/1, focus on crafting. Search Mirae General Hospital and its medical tents for Binding Catalyst, then return to the 3D Printer with the required materials.

Once the Medkit has been printed and both Healer objectives show 1/1, the Order is complete.
