Coheed & Cambria’s The Afterman: Ascension, Concert Dates

Coheed & Cambria, regardless of their tasteless comic book geek image, is really an amazingly talented band, with a sound that's hard to classify. Even if they are often labeled as "emo", they have a sound that I would express as being much closer to pro rock like Rush or Dream Theater.

The lead singer Claudio Sanchez is the most outstanding feature of the group without a doubt. He has insane vocal skill and shreds guitar like no other, you would be really amazed how he can sing and play like that simultaneously. Stever (lead guitar) is remarkable with great solo-esque kind riffs and fills. Mic’s replacement Zach Cooper (bass) can do pretty much everything on his bass and Eppard goes insane on drums...this group is surely one of the most excellent groups in the past decade.

The band is currently working on their sixth studio album The Afterman: Ascension, a follow-up to their 2010 effort and the first part of a double album, set for release on October 9, 2012 through Hundred Handed/Everything Evil records. The track list will include the followings:

1. "The Hollow"
2. "Key Entity Extraction I: Domino the Destitute"
3. "The Afterman"
4. "Mothers of Men"
5. "Goodnight, Fair Lady"
7. "Key Entity Extraction III: Vic the Butcher"
8. "Key Entity Extraction IV: Evagria the Faithful"
9. "Subtraction"
