The Last Stand brings the return of Arnold Schwarzenegger to the silver screen in a lead role. He plays Ray Owens, ex-LAPD officer who came to Arizona to escape from the big city police work. His fellow police officers are just the opposite. They are either not ready for such police work or excited for such police work. So when a Mexican drug dealer flees from the Federal custody, and taking a female agent with him and starts hurtling their way in a specially equipped car that can go 200 MPH, they are about to get more trouble than they bargained for.
Schwarzenegger is certainly back in a huge way; his laid-back acting shines throughout and he still can deliver a good wisecrack or two as well.
