Mark Knopfler is no stranger to the music business. His group Dire Straits may be long gone, but he has now dropped as many records on his own as he has with the group. Even after 40 plus years Mark still has no signs of scarcity in his musical approach and talent. Whether it was with Dire Straits or his solo presentations, Mark definitely engulfs you with his skill in all diversified musical forms.
His most recent album “Privateering” could be classified as folk or blues, with a naval and Celtic flavor to many. Mark could probably be a good storyteller, his storytelling skills are still in abundance and his new album is one of his best, offering great variety and "stories" that move you.
