Despite the delay of 25 minutes, Metallica has met the expectations of the public who waited anxiously for the show at Rock In Rio late on Thursday (19).
In an hour and a half show, the band played 18 songs mixing recent hits to their major classics. Tracks like " Enter Sandman "," One "," ... And Justice For All ," "Welcome Home (Sanitarium)"and "Creeping Death" brought the audience to their feet. On top of that soils bassist Robert Trujillo and guitarist Kirk Hammett played the theme of the movie "Star Wars". Closing the show was on account of "Seek And Destroy".
According to Lars Ulrich, the performance of this year surpassed their last participation at the event in 2011. "Much better than two years ago," said the drummer, while frontman James Hetfield said he feels happy to perform in Brazil.
