The Sonisphere announced that Metallica and Iron Maiden will be the headliners of its next event in 2014.
This will be the first time the two bands will perform at the same festival in the UK – back in 2013, the Metallica made a surprise appearance in the Castle Donnington Festival when Maiden was one of the headliners.
This must also be the only show that both groups will be in 2014 in England - which should make fans run after the ticket.
The Metallica promised to do something different this time and said that they will play tracks chosen by fans- which should guarantee the presence of some more obscure songs in the presentation side of the great hits of the group.
The Sonisphere takes place between the 4th and 6th of July. The organizers will also announce the third headliner of the festival, which this year will celebrate the 40th anniversary of the first major show made in Knebworth House.
