The artist will voice the character Tip, protagonist of the story. Actors Jim Parsons (who plays Sheldon in The Big Bang Theory series), Steve Martin and Jennifer Lopez also lend their voices to characters in the movie.
The film tells the story of an alien who flees to the planet Earth to escape from powerful enemies. When the ET (Jim Parsons) meets young Tip (Rihanna), the two join forces to evade the enemy.
Besides being the voice actress of the animation, Rihanna will produce and write songs for the soundtrack album of the film.
The film is scheduled to hit the big screen on March 27, 2015.
