Jennifer Lopez finally decided to perform at the 2014 FIFA World Cup opening ceremony in Brazil.
Earlier this week, a representative of the event had issued a statement saying that she would not attend the event alongside Pitbull and Claudia Leitte duet to "production problems".
According to a source close to the organizing committee, the fans reactions were so significant that she changed her mind. Moreover, the singer’s label felt that her appearance would be a positive propaganda and would be very foolish not to exploit a worldwide event to promote her image.
Also according to the source, the setback mainly due to her travel expenses as she wanted them to pay every thing for her from private transportation, to her hotel and the costs associated for her entire entourage.
The opening ceremony of the 2014 FIFA World Cup will take place in Sao Paulo on Thursday (12) at 15h, two hours before the first match between Brazil and Croatia, where Jennifer Lopez will perform with rapper Pitbull and singer Claudia Leitte. They will sing the official song of the event, "We Are One (Ole Ola)".
